  1. Obama is just saying what his advisors report and what he thinks he can get away with. If you were him, you’d do the same. There’s too many special interests. If he were to pick things apart like a scholar, questioning this and questioning that, people would see that as weakness in his own judgement. If a guy is so willing to take an idea apart and look at it from multiple viewpoints, then that must mean he doesn’t really know what he thinks. We don’t want a guy that isn’t resolute and firm about his own convictions. Atleast, this is what the vast majority of people will have run through their minds when a leader second guesses himself or tries to take an idea apart into its component peices.
